I’m Phil. I have over 15 years of experience in structural design, management, business development, and higher education. My passion is working with students, designers, builders, and owners to come up with innovative solutions for their projects.

I wear multiple hats in the masonry industry: chairing the BIM subcommittee through The Masonry Society, leading the Masonry Institute of Michigan, teaching structural design at the University of Toledo, and actively participating on the advisory board at Lawrence Technological University.

Masonry Principles was created to make masonry easier to use and give a voice to experts in our industry. I hope you enjoy the content and find it useful on your next project!

    Four years in the masonry industry, though young stands strong. I am currently Director of Business Development & Marketing at Upstate Masonry Institute in New York State. I have built my network by not being afraid to ask questions, building relationships and maintaining an enthusiastic mind set to learn and spread knowledge..
